Trinity Scores Late To Sink Women's Hockey

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team suffered a 2-1 setback to Trinity off a last-minute goal in the third.
 
The Polar Bears are 8-12-3 (3-9-3 NESCAC). The Bantams pick up three points and climb to 13-5-2- (6-5-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Trinity came out and took a 1-0 lead at 8:16 in the first. Jenny Guider intercepted a flat pass at the top of the zone and skated down the ice for a one-on-goal. Guider wristed a shot as she came down the middle.
  • The Polar Bears found an equalizer with five seconds remaining in the period, converting on the power play. Jane McCarter fired a shot from the right side and the rebound kicked up the slot to Kathryn Kester. Kester put away the rebound.
  • Guider scored the game-winner with just over a minute remaining in regulation, slipping a wraparound shot through the goalie's pads.

  • Bowdoin held a 27-25 edge in faceoff wins.
