Women's Hockey Drops Final Game of the Regular Season

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team suffered a 3-0 setback to Trinity to close out the regular season.
 
The Polar Bears finish the regular season with an 8-13-3- (3-10-3 NESCAC) record. The Bantams climb to 14-5-2- (7-5-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Paige Kehoe got the Bantams started with under six minutes remaining in the second. Annabelle Merkel put a shot on pads from the left point and Kehoe spun and put the puck in.
  • Martina Exnerova scored the next goal two minutes later, passing off the boards to Kenoe who carried into the zone and dished back to Exnerova on the left who finished the play.
  • Trinity capped their scoring flurry with their third in the span of four minutes off the stick of Annika Dyczowski. Jenny Guider found Dyczowski on the right point for a shot through traffic.
 
By the Numbers
  • The teams combined for 12 penalties in the game.
  • Neither team was able to convert on the power play.
  • Bowdoin held a 29-20 edge in faceoffs.
  • Sally Solotaroff-Webber made 18 saves.
