MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team bounced back in a big way on Saturday, dominating the second half of a 77-63 win at Tufts. The Polar Bears (20-2, 7-1 NESCAC) reach the 20-win plateau for the 19
th time in program history, all coming since 2000, and first time since 2019-20. Tufts falls to 11-9 (3-5 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- The teams played a high-scoring first half, with three tie scores and three lead changes.
- A Sydney Jones three-pointer early in the second quarter gave Bowdoin the lead for good, but the Polar Bears only held a 42-38 edge heading into intermission.
- Bowdoin took command of the game with a game-deciding run late in the third. Up by six, 52-46, three points from Abbie Quinn and a five-point run by Carly Davey sparked a 10-0 surge that pushed the lead to 16 late in the frame.
- The lead never reached single digits again as Bowdoin cruised in the fourth, leading by as many as 17 points down the stretch.

- Sydney Jones paced Bowdoin with 20 points and eight rebounds on the day while Carley Davey finished with 14 points.
- A strong effort by the Bowdoin bench included 12 points from Maria Belardi and 11 from Abbie Quinn. Callie Godfrey had eight boards and Megan Tan had five assists in the win.
- Bowdoin finished at 48% shooting for the game and forced 18 Tufts turnovers, converting them into 24 points.
- The Polar Bears also dominated the glass, holding a 39-21 edge and cashing in 18 second chance points.
