Nationally-Ranked Emory Tips Men's Basketball in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Bowdoin College men's basketball team pushed the third-ranked team in Division III to the limit, but dropped an eventual 69-59 decision to Emory University on day two of the NESCAC-UAA Challenge at Carnegie Mellon. The loss drops the Polar Bears to 6-3 on the season while the Eagles improve to 8-0.

  • The Polar Bears were within two points, 44-42, following a Will Logue hoop-and-harm with 12:44 to go, but the Eagles responded again, this time with a 12-2 run to push their lead to double figures with 8:30 to go.
