BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team put together a three-goal third period comeback win to conclude the first semester against Tufts on Saturday evening.
The Polar Bears climb to 5-3-0 (3-2-0 NESCAC), while pushing the Jumbos to 4-4-1 (2-4-0 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- The Jumbos scored first with 4:55 remaining in the first period. Rory Andriole received the puck in the right circle from Harrison Bazianos behind the net. Andriole slipped a pass left to Jameson Klein for a one-timer.
- Bowdoin found an equalizer under four minutes into the second period. Michael Dinges had the puck along the right boards and backhanded a centering pass to Jack Barbro who wristed a shot from between the circles.
- Tufts took advantage of a power play late in the frame to make it 2-1. Cole Dubicki carried the puck up the ice and found Bazianos who moved left in the zone. Bazianos passed right to Liam O'Hare for a power play goal.
- Two minutes later, Tufts made it 3-1. John Mulvihill came into the zone on the right and built a two-on-one with Marcus Sang. Mulvihill drew the defender and goalie before dishing left to Sang who beat Jacob Osborne stick side.
- Gabe Shipper pulled Bowdoin within one just two minutes into the third. On the power play, Shipper finished off a feed in the slot.
- Luke Wheeler tied the game with a scrummy right post goal at 7:04.
- Bowdoin's game winner came off a perfectly executed faceoff in the offensive zone. Dinges cleanly won the faceoff on the left dot and kicked the puck back to Will Killoran on the near post. Killoran centered a pass to Matt Roy for a slapshot.

- Roy's goal was the first of his career.
- Jacob Osborne made 30 total saves, including 14 in the third period, to collect the win.
- Tade Carmen made 31 stops for Tufts.
- Bowdoin went 1-for-5 on the power play. Tufts was 1-for-7.
