Men's Hockey Muted In Michigan As Adrian Puts Up 4-0 Win

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team surrendered four unanswered goals to host Adrian on Tuesday evening in a shutout loss.
 
The Polar Bears return to the East Coast with a 5-5-0 record. The nationally-ranked Bulldogs are 11-3-0.
 
Game Highlights
  • The Bulldogs went up 1-0 at 12:22 in the first period off a power play opportunity. Ryan Pitoscia took a feed from David Clarke at Adrian's own blueline and carried end-to-end along the left boards. Pitoscia crossed the crease and backhanded a shot past Jacob Osborne.
  • Bowdoin nearly found an equalizer during four-on-four play midway through the second. Aidan Lyons had a breakaway opportunity that Dershahn Stewart gobbled up.
  • Adrian added another power play goal at 11 minutes in the second. Clarke fired a shot from the right side that deflected off Riley Murphy on the left post for the 2-0 lead.
  • Midway through the third, Adrian made it 3-0 as Colin Whaley crashed pads to finish off a right side shot from Frank Tafelski.
  • Adrian capped the scoring with a shorthanded empty-net goal in the final five minutes.
