KEENE, N.H. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team exploded for nine goals against host Keene State on Tuesday evening.
 
The Polar Bears are a perfect 6-0-0 on the season. The Owls drop to 5-4-0.
 
Game Highlights

• Meghan Britt, Ava Provenzo, and Ava Imposimato all scored goals in the first period.
• Bella Schifano and Bella Mele each scored even-strength goals in the second, before Bowdoin exploded for four straight power play goals.
• Two of the team's power play goals came in the second period of the sticks of Jane McCarter and Anyi Sun.
• McCarter scored her second power play goal of the game at 6:52 in the third as Gia Massari added another one minute later.

• Sarah Peterson made 11 saves for the shutout win.
• Bowdoin held a 27-18 edge in faceoff wins.
• The Polar Bears put 49 total shots on net.
