Men's Soccer Bounced From NESCAC Tournament After 1-0 Loss to Middlebury

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's soccer bowed out of the NESCAC tournament after dropping a 1-0 decision to Middlebury in the semifinals on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears upset top-seeded Tufts to advance to play the Panthers in the semifinals. Middlebury advanced with a 14-0-3 as Bowdoin is 7-5-5.
 
Game Highlights
  • The Panthers broke through in the 36th minute. Keagan Harder chipped a feed in from the left and connected with Kyle Nilsson for a header back cross cage to near post.
  • Paul Surkov closed out the half with a shot to middle of the net, forcing a Joey Waterman save.
  • Bowdoin outshot the Panthers 5-1 in the second half but could not solve Waterman.
  • The Polar Bears concluded regulation with a shot on net and corner kick opportunity.
