Polar Bears Split Saturday Matches With Smith, Plattsburgh

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin College volleyball team split a pair of matches on the campus of Smith College Saturday, falling to the host Pride 3-1 before rebounding in a 3-1 win over Plattsburgh State. The Polar Bears stand at 12-8 overall this season.
 
Smith Match Highlights
  • After splitting the first two sets, the Pride came away with a tight 25-15, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23 win.
  • Skye LaMendola continued her hot play, totaling 16 kills and six digs while Alison Smith added 15.
  • Haley Campau had eight kills and three blocks.
  • Anna Yeh led the defense with 11 digs while Cameron Shelly had 27 assists.
Plattsburgh Match Highlights
  • Bowdoin cruised to a sweep of the Cardinals, 25-13, 25-15, 25-17.
  • Corinne Lamond had a career-high 10 kills while LaMendola added seven.
  • Paige Butler had a team-best 17 assists and Anna Yeh finished with 12 digs in the victory.
