Men's Soccer Silences Saint Joseph's in 2-0 Midweek Matchup

STANDISH, Maine – The Bowdoin men's soccer team scored one goal in each half to collect a 2-0 win over host Saint Joseph's College on Tuesday evening.
 
The Polar Bears improve to 6-3-2 while dropping the Monks to 5-7-2.
 
Game Highlights
  • With under three minutes remaining in the first half, Bowdoin went ahead 1-0. Tyler Huck worked the ball straight up the middle before finding Felipe Rueda Duran on the right wing. Rueda Duran rocketed a flat pass across to Arthur Dos Santos on the opposite side. Dos Santos one-touched the feed and toed a shot right below the crossbar.
  • Midway through the second half, Ronaldo Cabral made a promising feed to Mateo Pacelli in the center, but the play was broken up.
  • The pair combined for the second Polar Bear goal in the 85th minute to make it 2-0. Pacelli intercepted a pass by the Monks defense deep in the Saint Joseph's end. Pacelli found Cabral for a clean finish.
