BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team took the NESCAC-leading Trinity Bantams to overtime and earned a 1-1 tie against the tenth-ranked team in the country.
The Polar Bears (9-3-2, 5-2-2 NESCAC) were the first conference team to deny Trinity (11-2-1, 7-0-1 NESCAC) the full three points for a regulation win in NESCAC standings.
Game Highlights
- The Bantams scored with 29 seconds remaining in the second period to take a 1-0 lead. Jax Murray won the faceoff back in Trinity territory and the teams scrambled for possession behind the dot. Ned Blanchard came away with the puck and kicked a pass right for Richard Boysen. Boysen carried the length of the ice and buried a wrister near post.
- Bowdoin found its key goal of the game 6:16 into the third. While on the penalty kill, Andy Stoneman had a takeaway in front of the Trinity bench and skated toward net. Stoneman's initial bid clicked off the post but deflected in off the goalie.
- Both goalies had to make multiple saves in overtime as the game concluded as a 1-1 tie.

- Alex Kozic made 36 saves for the Polar Bears.
- Devon Bobak made 30 stops for Trinity.
- Bowdoin won 38-of-70 faceoffs.
- Trinity was 0-for-3 on the power play and Bowdoin went 0-for-1.
- Stoneman's short handed goal was the first of the season for Bowdoin.
