Volleyball Rallies in Third Set, Stuns Williams in Key NESCAC Win

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College volleyball team won the last two sets of a 3-1 victory over Williams on Saturday afternoon in Morrell Gymnasium. The Polar Bears pick up a key NESCAC win and improve to 7-4 (2-3 NESCAC) while the Ephs fall to 9-3 (3-2 NESCAC).
 
Match Highlights
  • Bowdoin took the win by set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18 to earn the victory.
  • The Polar Bears controlled the opening set, rolling off a 10-0 run on Kiley Keating's service to open up a comfortable lead en route to a 25-16.
  • Williams rebounded in set two, winning three of the final four points of the set to break a 23-23 tie and deadlock the match at one set apiece.
  • The Ephs appeared poised to take the third set as well, leading 24-20. Bowdoin stunned Williams with a 6-0 run, again on Keating's service, clinching the comeback with four kills by Skye LaMendola in the decisive run.
  • Bowdoin carried the momentum into the fourth set, sprinting to a 12-5 lead they would never relinquish on their way to the win.
