Baseball Concludes Regular Season With Loss at Husson

BANGOR, Maine – The Bowdoin baseball team suffered a 6-2 loss to Husson in its final regular season game of the year.
 
The Polar Bears (16-13) begin the NESCAC playoffs on Saturday. The Eagles are 20-16 on the season.
 
Game Highlights
  • Husson plated a pair of runs in the second inning to go ahead 2-0, before Bowdoin answered with two in the top of the third. CJ Brito-Trinidad tagged a solo homer to right field and Gabe Peckler plated Chris Dirks.
  • The Eagles pushed three more runs across home plate in the bottom half of the inning to open up a 5-2 lead.
  • An RBI single in the fifth was the game's final run, giving Husson the 6-2 win.
 
By the Numbers
  • Bowdoin stranded eight runners.
  • Brito-Trinidad went 2-for-4 as the only Polar Bear with a multi-hit day.
  • Alex Saavedra started the game and surrendered one earned run with three strikeouts.
  • Jake Sullivan matched Saavedra with two innings pitched and added a pair of strikeouts. Sullivan surrendered three hits and a pair of earned runs.
  • Jacob Warren, Brito-Trinidad, and Jack Olcott all pitched innings in relief.
