Women's Lacrosse Falls to Trinity

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Trinity College women's lacrosse team used a big second quarter to pull away from Bowdoin in a 22-8 decision on Saturday afternoon at Ryan Field. The 19th-ranked Polar Bears fall to 4-7 (2-5 NESCAC) while the 13th-ranked Bantams improve to 9-2 (4-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • On Senior Day in Brunswick, the Polar Bears played a tight opening quarter, tying the game at four apiece thanks to two goals apiece from Sophia Sudano and Fiona Bundy in the first stanza.
  • Trinity took command with a 9-1 run to open the second quarter and extended their lead to 14-6 at halftime.
  • The Bantams pushed the game to running time in the third quarter and scored the final seven goals of the game to push the final margin to 14 goals.

  • Molly McGuckin scored six goals and one assist for the Bantams.
  • Fiona Bundy led Bowdoin with four goals, an assist and ten draw controls.
  • Peyton Mulhern had three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
  • Sophie Brett (five saves), Sophia Rutman (two saves), and Izzy Cisneros (three saves) split time in net for Bowdoin.
