Women's Tennis Wraps Regular Season, Earns Sixth Seed for NESCAC's

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's tennis team closed out its final weekend of the regular season with a pair of wins and learned its seeding for the upcoming NESCAC Women's Tennis Championship. The Polar Bears lost to MIT on Friday but rebounded with sweeps of Trinity and Connecticut College to finish their campaign with a 5-10 record and earn the sixth seed for the conference tournament that begins this weekend.
 
Weekend Highlights
  • The Polar Bears lost to MIT (7-2) on Friday but bounced back in a big way to defeat Trinity (9-0) and Connecticut College (9-0) over the weekend in Connecticut.
  • Bowdoin got wins from the doubles pairing of Jamilah Karah/Cara Hung (8-5) and at number five singles from Hung (6-3, 6-1) to account for the points against MIT.
  • The Polar Bears recorded a clean sweep against Trinity as Karah, Elizabeth Yu, Hannah Buckhout, Hung, Julia DeLuca, and Candice Ballarin all took straight-set singles wins.
  • Bowdoin repeated it on Sunday against the Camels, with Karah, Kennedi Carter, Hung, Buckhout, DeLuca and Ballarin accounting for the singles wins without losing a set.
