Men's Lacrosse Takes Senior Day Win Over Connecticut College

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team grinded out a 13-9 win over Connecticut College on Senior Day Saturday at Whittier Field. The tenth-ranked Polar Bears never trailed in the contest and improve to 11-3 (6-3 NESCAC) on the season.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin started quick out of the gate, scoring five goals in the opening quarter, from five different players, to take a 5-1 edge after the first period.
  • A 4-1 surge by Connecticut College late in the second quarter rallied the Camels back into the contest, as they trimmed the Polar Bears' advantage to 6-5 at the break.
  • Bowdoin settled in after halftime and held the Camels to just a single goal over the first 22:25 of the second half. Meanwhile, Bowdoin rolled off a 6-1 run that put the contest out of reach.
  • Jason Lach scored twice in the run, including a goal off an assist from Will Byrne with 4:25 to go that made it 12-7 Bowdoin, icing the win.
By The Numbers
  • Bowdoin's defense was stellar, forcing 18 Camel turnovers, as goaltender Robert Hobbs stopped 11 shots in the victory.
  • Jason Lach had three goals and two assists while Patrick Fitzgerald added three goals and a helper.
  • Peter Kenerson had three caused turnovers, two ground balls and an assist in the win while Ethan Barnard won 14-26 faceoffs and collected a team-best nine ground balls.

  • Bowdoin will close out its regular season on Wednesday night against top-ranked Tufts. In order to host a NESCAC Quarterfinal on Saturday, April 29, the Polar Bears need to beat the Jumbos or have Trinity defeat Amherst on Wednesday evening.
