Men's Tennis Earns Key Win Over Top-Ten Middlebury

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team defeated its first top-ten team of the season, earning a 5-4 victory over fifth-ranked Middlebury on Sunday afternoon. The 12th-ranked Polar Bears (10-3) rebounded from a Saturday loss to sixth-ranked Williams with the triumph.

  • Bowdoin lost its third 5-4 decision of the season to a top-ten team in its Saturday setback to Williams.
  • The Polar Bears got a doubles point from Pieter Breuker/Ethan Bradley at number two (8-7).
  • Bowdoin got singles wins from Tristan Bradley (6-2, 7-5), Ethan Bradley (7-5, 6-2) and Evan Fortier (6-3, 6-4) but lost a three-set decision at number four as Williams came away with the close win.
