Men's Tennis Mounts Late Rally To Defeat Bates

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team rallied in singles play to defeat Bates, 6-3, on Wednesday afternoon at Pickard Courts. The 12th-ranked Polar Bears improve to 9-2 this spring with the victory.
 
Match Highlights
  • Despite the eventual outcome, the Polar Bears appeared on the ropes early, as they trailed 2-1 following doubles play thanks to a victory from Pieter Breuker/Ethan Bradley (8-3) at number two.
  • The Polar Bears dropped the first set in three singles matches, but rallied thanks to some comeback victories.
  • Evan Fortier and Pieter Breuker took care of their matches in straight sets to put Bowdoin back in front.
  • The Polar Bears then won three-setters from Tristan Bradley (4-6, 6-1, 6-2), Ethan Bradley (2-6, 6-2, 6-2) and Mark Kneiss (6-3, 5-7, 6-4) to secure the victory.
