Women's Tennis Blanks Bates In Tuesday Home Victory

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's tennis team got back into the win column in a dominant 9-0 win over Bates on Tuesday afternoon on Pickard Courts. The 17th-ranked Polar Bears improve to 2-7 with the victory.
 
Match Highlights
  • The Polar Bears controlled the match from the start, sweeping the Bobcats in doubles play and cruising in singles action to clinch the victory.
  • Jamilah Karah/Cara Hung (8-3), Kennedi Carter/Hannah Buckhout (8-6), and Elizabeth Yu/Candice Ballarin (8-2) all took wins in doubles play for the Polar Bears.
  • Bowdoin lost just a single set in six singles matches as Karah, Yu, Carter, Buckhout and Hung all took straight-set victories. Julia DeLuca won 6-0, 6-7, 10-5 victory for Bowdoin at number five.
