Early Goals Hoist Hamilton to 2-1 Win Over Men's Hockey

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Bowdoin men's hockey team surrendered a pair of first period goals and could not complete the comeback in a 2-1 loss at Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears return home with an 11-7-2 (5-7-2 NESCAC) record. The Continentals are 11-8-1 (9-4-1 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin fell behind at the 2:11 mark as Max Bulawka put away a one-timer off a rebound on the left side.
  • The Continentals doubled their first period goal tally at 11:06 on the power play. Nick Hawkins took a shot from the left point and Fred Allaire tipped it in front as the screen.
  • The Polar Bears used a well-executed power play late in the third to make it 2-1. Bobby Pearl and Aidan Lyons passed back and forth to work the puck deeper into the zone. From the dot, Lyons sent a flat pass to Albert Washco who wristed a shot into the net.

  • Hamilton went 1-for-4 on the power play.
