MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin men's hockey team suffered a 3-2 loss at Tufts on Friday evening to begin the final weekend of regular season action.
The Polar Bears (11-9-3, 5-9-3 NESCAC) and Jumbos (9-13-1, 6-10-1 NESCAC) both have one game remaining in conference play.
Game Highlights
- The two teams played a scoreless first period. The Jumbos broke through with a shorthand tally just under six minutes into the second frame. Four minutes later, Tyler Sedlak scored an even-strength goal to make it 2-0 in favor of the hosts.
- Bowdoin got on the scoreboard at 15:54 in the period. On the power play, Patrick Ault found Andy Stoneman, who fed Albert Washco for the goal.
- Tufts extended its lead back to two with another goal midway through the third period.
- Bowdoin again pulled within one as Will Forrest finished off a play from Jesse Lycan with 4:42 remaining in regulation.
- Despite seven shots in the final minute, with two on net, the Polar Bears could not force overtime.
