Women's Hoops Can't Overcome Early Deficit in Loss at Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College women's basketball team jumped to a big first-quarter lead and held off Bowdoin in a 64-45 victory in both team's regular-season finale on Saturday afternoon. The Mammoths improve to 17-7 (5-5 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears finish at 15-9 (4-6 NESCAC). With the result, Bowdoin has earned the eighth seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tournament.
