Women's Hoops Runs Away From Mitchell in Non-Conference Win

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team rolled to a 80-42 victory at Mitchell on Thursday evening, improving to 7-1 on the year with the victory. Mitchell falls to 2-5 this season with the setback.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin never trailed, jumping to a 6-0 lead thanks to game-opening three-pointers from Sydney Jones and Megan Tan.
  • A jumper by Maria Belardi gave Bowdoin a 18-9 lead after one quarter and the Polar Bears quickly pushed the lead to double digits in the second period, where it would stay for the rest of the game.
  • Bowdoin led 38-21 at halftime and the 38-point margin of victory equaled their largest lead of the contest.
