BOSTON, Mass. – The Bowdoin College women's rugby team won its fourth straight NIRA Division III crown on Saturday, cruising to a 51-17 win over Adrian on Saturday on the campus of Harvard University.
The Polar Bears finish their season with an unbeaten record of 8-0, outscoring their opponents by a 455-61 margin this fall.
Rebecca Vakarau was named the championship's Most Valuable Player.
Katie Stomma got the Polar Bears started, with an Eisenhart conversion, to take an early 7-0 edge. After Adrian cut the lead to 7-5, Bowdoin rolled off 37 straight points to put the match out of reach.

Lulu Linkas, Vakarau, and
Colleen Doucette all scored in the run that made it 44-5 midway through the second half.
Justine Endo-Ferguson scored a second half try and Eisenhart tallied four conversions and a penalty kick.
The win gives Bowdoin their fourth NIRA title, joining 2019, '21, and '22.
