BRUNSWICK, Maine – Stephanie Christianson's second-half penalty kick goal provided the Bowdoin women's soccer team with all the offense it would need in a 1-0 victory against Trinity.
 
The Polar Bears improve to 6-2-2 (3-1-1 NESCAC). The Bantams are 5-3-3 (3-2-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights

• Bowdoin controlled the opening half of play. Trinity's Mariana Cournoyer was forced to make four saves in just the first ten minutes of action.
• The Polar Bears held a commanding 11-2 edge in total shots during the first 45 minutes.
• Trinity flipped the script in the second half and outshot Bowdoin 10-2.
• During one of Bowdoin's drives into the Trinity box, Stephanie Christianson earned a penalty kick. The sophomore successfully converted on the opportunity and put the ball beyond the outstretched hand of Cournoyer.

• In the end, Bowdoin held a narrow 13-12 edge in total shots, while both teams put six on net.
• Bowdoin earned a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
• Charlotte Iannone made six stops for the clean sheet.
• Cournoyer made five saves.
