HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team went cold from the field in the fourth quarter of a 49-43 loss at Trinity on Saturday afternoon. In a battle of nationally-ranked squads, the 22
nd-ranked Bantams (13-1, 2-0 NESCAC) rallied from a ten-point fourth quarter deficit to edge the 25
th-ranked Polar Bears (10-3, 1-1 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin led throughout the contest, including 28-18 at halftime and by as many as 12 points in the third quarter.
- Entering the final period trailing 41-31, the Bantams scored eight quick points to trim the lead to 41-39 with seven minutes to go.
- Bowdoin scored its lone basket of the quarter to go up 43-39 with 6:08 to go, but went scoreless from there, missing their final seven shots as Trinity closed the contest on a 10-0 run.
