SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team dominated 18^th-ranked Springfield College in an impressive 71-58 road win on Wednesday afternoon. The 25^th-ranked Polar Bears improve to 9-2 this season with the victory while the Pride fall to 10-3.

• An outstanding defensive effort led the Polar Bears to the regional road win, as Bowdoin forced 22 Springfield turnovers on the day, scoring 25 crucial points off Pride miscues.
• Bowdoin owned a slim 13-10 edge after one quarter of play but extended their lead to nine points at the half thanks to a 15-6 run over the final six minutes of the period.
• The Polar Bears carried a 33-24 edge into the break when Sydney Jones hit a running layup before the buzzer.
• The Polar Bears took complete command with a dominant third quarter performance, outscoring Springfield 25-10 as a pair of Annie Boasberg three-pointers sparked a 10-1 run out of intermission.
• Bowdoin cruised from there, leading by as many as 27 points in the fourth quarter en route to the victory.

• A balanced attack saw Bowdoin finish with 11 different players denting the scoring column, led by a season-high 13 points from Sela Kay.
