Men's Squash Drops Three Close Matches in Weekend Action

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's squash team suffered a trio of losses this weekend at the Lubin Center as they suffered hard-fought defeats to Middlebury (6-3), Williams (8-1) and Hamilton (5-4). The 22nd-ranked Polar Bears stand at 4-9 this season following the results.
 
Weekend Highlights
  • In the 6-3 loss to 23rd-ranked Middlebury, Bowdoin was able to earn wins at the top three spots in the ladder. Jack Winston (11-9, 11-5, 11-6), Deven Kanwal (11-6, 11-9, 12-10) and Henry Somerby (2-11, 11-8, 13-11, 11-9) posted impressive victories.
  • Somerby accounted for Bowdoin's point in the loss to 18th-ranked Williams, rallying for a 7-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 win.
  • The Polar Bears almost came away with a win against 26th-ranked Hamilton in a close, 5-4 defeat. Winston, Kanwal and Somerby each earned wins. Aryan Singh also accounted for a victory in a 3-0 triumph.
