BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's squash team returned to action with a trio of matches this week to open the new year. The 22
nd-ranked Polar Bears suffered a trio of defeats at the hands of Dartmouth, Hobart and St. Lawrence to fall to 4-6 this season.
Match Highlights
- Bowdoin opened the week with a 9-0 setback to tenth-ranked Dartmouth. Jack Winston battled well in the number one position for the Polar Bears, falling in an hour-long match 3-2 (10-12, 11-4, 11-6, 7-11, 12-10).
- On Monday, Bowdoin fell to 24th-ranked Hobart 7-2, getting wins from Winston (3-0) and Aryan Singh (3-2; 11-9, 7-11, 8-11, 12-10, 11-8).
- The Polar Bears closed out their busy stretch with a 7-2 loss to 20th-ranked St. Lawrence on Tuesday. Singh won his second match in as many days, netting a 3-2 (6-11, 11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9) win. Abhiroop Reddy also earned a 3-2 triumph with a dramatic comeback (7-11, 10-12, 11-5, 14-12, 11-8).
