BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin field hockey team allowed a couple of fourth quarter goals and fell 2-0 to Williams on Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (4-3, 1-3 NESCAC) struggled offensively as the Ephs climb to 5-2 (2-2 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Despite Williams owning a 5-0 shot advantage and 4-0 corner advantage through the first 30 minutes, Bowdoin kept the game knotted at 0-0.
- The Ephs broke the game open with a score of a penalty corner in the 50th minute of action. Emily Batchelor received a feed from Pilar Torres on her right side and pushed a shot through a crowd and past Julia Arsenault.
- Bowdoin earned its first penalty corner of the game two minutes later, but couldn't produce off the opportunity.
- Williams put the game out of reach with three minutes remaining, again off a corner. Catherine Torres fired a shot from the top of the circle and Kelly McCarthy tipped the ball as it came past.

- The Ephs held an 11-2 corner advantage.
- Williams put nine shots on net, compared to Bowdoin's one.
- Arsenault made seven stops for the Polar Bears.
- Carson Stephenson did not face any shots in the first thirty minutes. Bates Tenerowicz made one stop in the second half.
