BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team lost to Colby for the first time since 2005, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon in Morrell Gymnasium. The Polar Bears fall to 3-3 (1-1 NESCAC) while the Mules improve to 6-0 (2-0) on the year.
 
Match Highlights

• The Mules won by scores of 25-13, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21.
• Colby ran away in the opening set, using a 6-0 run midway through the frame en route to an eventual 25-13 win.
• The Mules extended their lead in a more competitive second set, as they held off a late Bowdoin rally to take a 25-19 win.
• Bowdoin rebounded to take the third set – trailing 21-20, Bowdoin won five of the last seven points to rally for the win, finishing it off with a kill from Lauren Lange to take a 25-23 win.
• Colby grabbed an early lead in the fourth set, and Bowdoin couldn't quite catch the Mules despite drawing within a single point on numerous occasions before a Natalie Bumpus kill finished off the 25-21 win.

By The Numbers

• Olivia Deane led Bowdoin with 11 kills while Ashley Jazbec finished with eight, as did Jaida Hodge-Adams.
• Hodge-Adams had four blocks and nine digs, while Ella Haugen dished out 36 assists.
