The Polar Bears improve to 2-0-0 and open the conference slate with a 1-0-0 record. The Bobcats are 1-1-0 (0-1-0 NESCAC).

Game Highlights
  • After a scoreless 45 minutes in the opening half, Bates broke through just two minutes into the second. A deflection inside Bowdoin's box allowed the ball to bounce through the defense and afforded Tife Agunloye a point blank one-on-one shot. Agunloye one-touched the ball and made it 1-0.
  • In the 80th minute Bowdoin earned a penalty kick. Ronaldo Cabral successfully converted on the penalty kick to put Bowdoin on the board and even the score at 1-1.
  • Momentum carried in the Polar Bears' favor with the game-winner coming just two minutes later. After three straight shot attempts that continued to rebound back to the Bowdoin offense, Tyler Huck finished with a volley that skidded along the ground and found net.
