MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team battled in a pair of top-ten NESCAC opponents, falling to Williams 7-2 and Middlebury 5-4 to conclude their regular season with a record of 15-4.
 
Weekend Highlights

• Evan Fortier and Oscar Yang kept Bowdoin within striking distance with a win in doubles against the Ephs (8-6) but the Polar Bears could only muster one singles win in the defeat.
• Fortier accounted for the singles point with a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 win at number three.
• Bowdoin led following doubles play against Middlebury, getting wins from Tristan Bradley/Reid Staples (8-3) and Ethan Bradley/Pieter Breuker (8-1).
• Four singles matches went the distance, but Bowdoin could only win one three-setter in the eventual loss.
• Pieter Breuker took a 7-5, 6-0 win at number four and Reid Staples claimed a 7-5, 0-6, 7-5 win at number two.

• Bowdoin will be the fourth seed for next weekend's NESCAC Championship, co-hosted by Amherst and Wesleyan. The Polar Bears will face fifth-seeded Amherst on Friday, May 6 with time and location to be announced Monday.
