Men's Tennis Dominates Singles Play in Win at Bates

LEWISTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team won five of six singles matches to pull away in a 6-3 win at Bates on Wednesday afternoon. The Polar Bears will enter their final weekend of the regular season with a 15-2 record. 

Match Highlights
  • Bowdoin lost a pair of tiebreaker matches at numbers one and two doubles, but Ethan Bradley and Pieter Breuker came through at number three, 8-6, to help the Polar Bears stave off the sweep.
  • The Polar Bears took care of business in singles play, winning five matches in straight-sets to put the match away. 
  • Reid Staples (7-5, 6-1), Evan Fortier (7-6, 6-0), Jack Flores (7-6, 6-4), Pieter Breuker (6-0, 6-3) and Ethan Bradley (6-2, 6-0) accounted for the Bowdoin points in singles action.
