LEWISTON, Maine – A shorthanded Bowdoin women's tennis team battled to a 6-3 victory on Wednesday evening indoors at Bates College, earning a key NESCAC win in advance of the final weekend of the regular season. The Polar Bears improve to 7-7 with the win.
 
Match Highlights

• Bowdoin claimed two of the three doubles matches to hold a slim lead heading into singles play.
• The Polar Bears earned an 8-3 win at #2 courtesy of Jamilah Karah and Fleming Landau and took an 8-5 win at #3 from Julia DeLuca and Bailey Prete.
• Bowdoin then won four of the five competed singles matches to clinch the win.
• Hannah Buckhout, Fleming Landau and Julia DeLuca all earned straight-set wins while Bailey Prete claimed the clinching point in a 7-6, 6-0 win at #5.
