Women's Lacrosse Overwhelms Conn College in Important NESCAC Win

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team returned to the win column in a 19-5 rout over Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon at Ryan Field.  The 16th-ranked Polar Bears improve to 9-5 (4-5 NESCAC) while the Camels fall to 6-8 (1-8 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • After the teams exchanged goals in the opening minutes, Bowdoin rolled off a 5-1 run over the final 8:43 of the opening quarter to take control of the contest.
  • Maddie White scored a pair of goals in the run, which the Polar Bears continued into the second quarter.
  • Following a Conn. College goal to cut the lead to 6-3 to start the second stanza, Bowdoin's defense held the Camels scoreless for 22:10 of game time.
  • While the defense clamped down, Bowdoin's offense erupted for nine straight goals, including four from Fiona Bundy in the run, that pushed the game into running time for the remainder of the contest.
