Men's Lacrosse Remains Unbeaten With Comeback Win at Babson

BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team rallied from a five-goal deficit to remain unbeaten in an 11-10 win over Babson on Wednesday night. The 11th-ranked Polar Bears move to 8-0 with the win while the Beavers fall to 4-3 with the loss.
 
Game Highlights
  • The Beavers caught the Polar Bears flat-footed to start the contest as the hosts sprinted to a 6-1 lead after one quarter of play.
  • Bowdoin's defense dominated from there, holding the Beavers to just four goals over the final 46:39 of the contest.
  • The Polar Bears found their stride offensively with a 4-0 second quarter, extending to a 6-0 run overall as Zach Chandler gave Bowdoin its first lead with a goal at 7:37 of the third quarter.
  • Tied at 8-8 heading into the final frame, Bowdoin opened the period with three straight goals from Donal Mullane, Patrick Fitzgerald and Zack Goorno to take control.
  • Babson scored a pair of late goals to cut the lead to one, and earned an extra-man opportunity with under a minute to go. But Bowdoin's defense stood tall as the Polar Bears held off the rally to win.

  • Robert Hobbs had another fantastic outing, stopping 20 shots in the win in net for Bowdoin.
  • Donal Mullane spearheaded the offense for the Polar Bears, totaling five goals and an assist. Oliver Bernstein added a pair of goals for Bowdoin.
  • AJ Bravo had three caused turnovers and Harp Lane added two defensively.
  • Bowdoin went 0-1 with the extra-man while Babson went 1-4.
