CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team wrapped its California spring break trip with two more wins, defeating George Fox and Gustavus Adolphus to end an extremely successful west swing to open the campaign. The Polar Bears return east with a 7-1 record in their first eight games.
 
George Fox Highlights

• Bowdoin took control in singles play in a 6-3 victory on Tuesday over George Fox.
• The Polar Bears trailed 2-1 after doubles action with the lone victory coming from the number two squad of Evan Fortier and Jack Flores.
• Bowdoin rallied in singles action, winning five of six matches to claim the win. Tristan Bradley won a three-setter (7-5, 4-6, 6-3) at number one.
• Fortier, Flores, Ethan Bradley and Pieter Breuker all earned straight-set victories to put Bowdoin over the top.

Gustavus Adolphus Highlights

• In a hard-fought battle to close the trip, Bowdoin held on to claim a 5-4 victory over Gustavus.
• Wins by Tristan Bradley/Reid Staples (8-5) and Ethan Bradley/Pieter Breuker (8-4) gave the Polar Bears a 2-1 lead after doubles.
• Straight-set wins by Tristan Bradley and Breuker put Bowdoin on the verge of victory.
• Jack Flores came through at number four singles to clinch it, taking a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 victory.

• Bowdoin will have some time off after returning to Brunswick, with their next match scheduled for Saturday, April 2 against Amherst at home.
