Men's Basketball Falls to Maine-Farmington in Home Finale

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's basketball team dropped its final home game of the season on Wednesday night, 84-75, to the University of Maine-Farmington. The Polar Bears fall to 11-12 this season while the Beavers improve to 12-6.
 
Game Highlights
  • Thanks to 47% shooting and 16 points from Terion Moss, the Beavers took a 43-38 lead at halftime over the Polar Bears.
  • Bowdoin came out firing in the second half, taking the lead following a 7-0 run, capped by a Manav Randhawa three-pointer, 45-43 with 17:55 to go.
  • UMF responded with a 11-3 surge, regaining the lead and never trailing again.
  • The Beavers led by as many as 12 points in the second half on their way to the win.
By The Numbers
  • James McGowan scored a team-high 18 points with seven boards and four assists in the loss for Bowdoin while Manav Randhawa tallied 16 points.
  • UMF was led by 33 points from Terion Moss, who went 12-12 from the free throw line in the win.
  • Overall UMF went 20-26 from the stripe compared to 8-14 for Bowdoin.
  • The Polar Bears were able to score 21 second chance points but only shot 35% in the loss.
