Husson Sinks Women's Hoops With Big Fourth Quarter

BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's basketball team outscored Bowdoin 32-18 in the fourth quarter to defeat the Polar Bears for the first time in program history, 76-69, on Tuesday night. The Polar Bears fall to 16-6 while Husson improves to 15-4.

  • The score was tied three times throughout the game with the lead exchanging hands seven times in a back-and-forth contest.
  • Bowdoin was able to take their largest lead of the game - seven points - 54-44 into the final period.
  • Husson dominated from there, outscoring Bowdoin 32-18 over the final ten minutes to claim the win.
By The Numbers
  • Sela Kay led Bowdoin with 20 points while Megan Tan had 16. 
  • Annie Boasberg (12) and Callie Godfrey (10) also saw double digits as Bowdoin finished at 32% shooting for the game, compared to 42% for Husson.
  • Husson connected on 19-24 from the free throw line compared to 11-17 for the Polar Bears.
