BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's rugby team will look for its third straight NIRA Division III crown on Saturday when they face the University of New England at Dartmouth College at noon in the divisional title match.
Hear from Ella Garnett in an interview above.
The Polar Bears have put together another phenomenal campaign, going 7-1 and advancing to the championship match with a
56-8 win over Castleton last Saturday at Pickard Field. Bowdoin will face a familiar foe in Saturday's final as they play UNE for the second time this year. The Nor'easters (5-1) qualified for the championship with a 75-27 win over Norwich in Biddeford last weekend.
It will be the third straight time the teams have met for the NIRA title, as Bowdoin has claimed the last two tournaments (in 2021 and 2019). The Polar Bears also claimed a
regular season meeting between the teams this fall, 31-7, on September 9.
The game will be carried live on ESPN+ - complete information can be found at the links above.
