BANGOR, Maine – The Bowdoin men's soccer team used a pair of late goals to defeat host Husson 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Polar Bears (7-1-1) have not played a game in a full week, but return to their winning ways following the break. The Eagles are 7-3-2 on the season.
Game Highlights
- The Polar Bears peppered Husson with seven shots on goal in the first half, including three in the 28th and 29th minutes.
- While Husson recorded seven shots in the first half only one went towards net and required a save by Michael Webber.
- In the 64h minute the Polar Bears scored their first of two late goals. Everett Horch settled a throw-in from the left sideline and passed diagonally back to Carleton Steinberg at midfield. Steinberg blasted a shot to the top left corner.
- Eight minutes later, Minseo Bae made it 2-0. Bae lined up a free kick from the left side and curled a shot inside the far right post.

- Bowdoin held an 18-11 shot advantage with a commanding 12-2 edge in shots on goal.
- The Polar Bears took three corner kicks to Husson's one.
