Trinity Remains Unbeaten With Football Victory Over Bowdoin

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity football team remained unbeaten, scoring 21 points in the second quarter en route to a 38-3 win over Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears fall to 2-5 with the loss while the Bantams improve to 7-0.

Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin had the ball deep in Trinity territory twice, but couldn't convert it into any points in a scoreless first quarter, twice turning it over on downs.
  • After Trinity took a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter, Bowdoin again drove into Trinity territory but turned it over on an interception.
  • The Polar Bears forced a three-and-out, and were able to cash in on a 23-yard field goal from Jotham Casey to cut the lead to 7-3 midway through the frame.
  • Trinity scored two quick, late touchdowns, however, both on passes to Devante Reid from Spencer Fetter to take a commanding 21-3 edge at the break.
  • Bowdoin couldn't get their offense back on track in the second half and Trinity took advantage with a pair of long scoring drives in the third quarter to extend their lead to 31-3.
