BRUNSWICK, Maine –
Tyler Huck scored with less than eight minutes remaining to complete the 2-1 comeback victory for the Bowdoin men's soccer team against Wesleyan on Saturday.
The Polar Bears (11-1-2, 6-1-2 NESCAC) trailed by one for less than a minute during the first half. The Cardinals (7-4-3, 3-3-3 NESCAC) ended a six and a half game shutout streak for Bowdoin.
Game Highlights
- With over 600 minutes of shutting out opponents, the Polar Bears surrendered their first goal since September 28. The Cardinals Phillip Cubeddu sent a lofting service into the box from the right side. Will Geballe jumped into the ball and volleyed a shot over the head of Michael Webber in the 31st minute.
- Bowdoin answered less than a minute later. Following the game's first corner kick, the ball cleared out to Ronaldo Cabral on the left. Cabral settled the ball and arced a right footed shot into the net for an equalizer.
- With 7:30 remaining, Huck scored the game-winner. Julian Juantorena launched a ball from the left side of the midfield into the box. Huck ran on and connected with the one-bounce ball to put it far left corner.
