Men's Cross Country Competes In Top Field at Conn. College Invite

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin College men's cross country team took 17th place in a national-caliber field at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday. The Polar Bears totaled 444 points in the 23-team field that included some of the top squads from across Division III.  
 
Meet Highlights
  • Will Goddard was Bowdoin's top finisher in the 8k race, finishing in 25:09.9 to place 34th among the nearly 400-runner field.
  • Brooks Peters earned a top-100 finish as well, placing 95th in a time of 26:02.5.
  • John Auer (26:10.3) was 108th, Ben Bockmann (26:17.3) was 118th and Sam Angevine (26:44.4) was 165th to round out Bowdoin's top five finishers.

  • The Polar Bears will return to action next Saturday when they host the Bowdoin Invitational II at the Pickard Cross Country course.
