BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's and women's swimming and diving teams both defeated Colby in dual meet action on Friday evening.
 
The men earned a 183-153 victory, while the women defeated the Mules 167-152.
 
Women's Meet Highlights

• The Polar Bears began the meet with a sweep in the 50 backstroke. Ella Martin, Frankie Garces, and Liv Smith shut out Colby.
• Bowdoin did the same in the 100 fly, with finishes from Tatum Zupnik, Anna Roberts, and Smith.
• In the 50 breaststroke Roberts finished first followed by Emilie Grand'Pierre.
• Grand'Pierre won both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Emma Fasullo finished second in the 200.
• Zupnik had a first place finish in the 50 fly and Kate Fosburgh was first in the 200 free.
• Cassie Maroney finished first in the 200 fly.
• Sadie Smith scored 242.47 on the 1 meter and 254.47 on the 3 meter.

 
Men's Meet Highlights

• Ted Mebust and Justin Yang went 1-2 in the 50 backstroke.
• Mebust won both the 50 and 100 free.
• Alex Grand'Pierre and Michael Tirone were first and second in the 50 and 100 breaststroke.
• In the 200 breaststroke, Pen Lee won followed by Grand'Pierre and Tirone.
• Yang was individual champion of the 400 IM and 200 backstroke.
• Bowdoin swept the 50 fly off the efforts of John Soeder, Ethan O'Connor, and Rhys Edwards.
• Edwards won the 100 fly.
• Both Bowdoin's A and B 200 free relays finished before any Colby entries. The relays consisted of Edwards, Lee, O'Connor, and Mebust in one lane and Grand'Pierre, Steve Ward, John McGowan, and Soeder in another.
