Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Men's Hockey Continues to Roll in 3-2 Win at Williams

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Andy Stoneman scored a pair of goals as the Bowdoin men's ice hockey team secured a key 3-2 NESCAC win over Williams on Saturday evening.
 
The Polar Bears continue to climb and improve to 5-5-4 (5-3-3 NESCAC). The Ephs are 7-7-0 (7-4-0 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Albert Washco got the Polar Bears started with a first period goal at 13:16. Ean Small found Washco who bested the Ephs in transition out of the Bowdoin defensive zone. Washco broke away down the right side and fired from the point with a blast past Evan Ruschil.
  • Stoneman gave the Polar Bears a 2-0 cushion six minutes into the third.
  • At 12:11, Williams finally solved Alex Kozic as Jamie Cates made it 2-1.
  • Stoneman again converted, two minutes later, to extend the lead back to two.
  • Jack Forrest scored a second goal for the Ephs, pulling them within one, with 2:40 remaining.

  • Williams went 0-for-4 on the power play.
  • Bowdoin was 0-for-2 on the power play.
  • Kozic made 25 stops for Bowdoin.
  • Ruschil made 27 saves.
