Men's Hockey Earns Regulation 3-1 Victory at Hamilton

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Bowdoin men's hockey team earned its first NESCAC regulation win of the season in a 3-1 contest at Hamilton on Thursday evening.
 
The Polar Bears climb to 4-5-3 (4-3-2 NESCAC) pick up points in their seventh consecutive game. The Continentals are 5-4-0 (4-3-0 NESCAC) on the season.
 
Game Highlights
  • Hamilton struck first, converting on the game's first power play opportunity at 4:12.
  • Bowdoin broke through 1:26 into the second period off a tally by Albert Washco. Ethan Kimball and Patrick Ault recorded assists on the equalizer.
  • Ault recorded his second secondary assists of the day in the final three minutes of the period. Ault connected with Ean Small who fed Chris Brown to give Bowdoin a 2-1 lead heading into the final period.
  • Joe Alexander recorded an empty-netter in the final minute. Luke Wheeler earned the assist.
 
By the Numbers
  • Bowdoin went 0-for-2 on the power play. Hamilton was 1-for-3 on the power play.
  • Alex Kozic earned the win with 33 stops in net for Bowdoin.
