Men's Hockey Scores Early and Settles for 1-1 Tie Against Wesleyan

 
BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's hockey team never trailed in a 1-1 overtime tie against Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Polar Bears (3-4-3, 3-2-2 NESCAC) pick up points in their fifth consecutive NESCAC game. The Cardinals sit at 5-4-2 (4-1-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • Albert Washco scored just 47 seconds into the game to give the Polar Bears a lead that stood on the board until late into the third. Bobby Pearl teed up a shot from the left point and the rebound kicked right. Washco quickly collected the puck and put it past Erik Voloshin.
  • Nate Clark blocked a shot as time expired in the second period, with Wesleyan on the power play, the preserved the 1-0 lead.
  • At 13:42 in the final frame, Tyler Levine carried into the zone and went deep on the left. Levine made a flat pass to Colin Cobb open on the opposite post.
  • In overtime, Luke Wheeler rang a shot off the crossbar and Emmett Powell saw a point blank shot be denied by Alex Kozic.

  • Wesleyan went 0-for-7 on the power play.
  • Bowdoin was 0-for-3 on the power play.
