Men's Squash Returns to Action, Knocks Off Amherst in Tuesday Win

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's squash team returned to action for the first time since early December, knocking off Amherst 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon at the Lubin Center. The win is the first of the season for the 22nd-ranked Polar Bears (1-3) as they defeated the 17th-ranked Mammoths (2-3). 

Match Highlights
  • The Polar Bears came out of the gate quickly, getting wins at number one from Jack Winston (7-11, 16-14, 11-2, 11-4) and number four from Adham Sobhy (11-8, 11-1, 11-5). 
  • Nick Wilkinson delivered Bowdoin's third win of the day, capturing a 3-1 victory at number five (11-5, 9-11, 11-9, 11-0).
  • The Polar Bears clinched the match with a trio of wins in the final round of play, as Deven Kanwal (3-0), Neil Bam (3-1) and Carson Claar (3-0) all took impressive wins to round out the match in favor of Bowdoin.
